STRIKE HAS BEEN RESOLVED, CONSTRUCTION RESUMES!

The strike was resolved this week and new contracts between the unions and contractors have been signed and are in effect. The contractor resumed work this week!

The road prep work was completed on Thursday and the contractor has begun to string line for the curb. The curb is going to be installed by a machine which follows this string line, putting the new curb in the correct location and elevation. Curb installation will begin next week on the west side, followed the next day by the driveway apron installations on the same side. Concrete takes about 3 days to cure (harden and gain strength), so residents will be out of their driveways for at least four days. A notice will be sent out to remind residents to have cars out of the driveway by 7 AM on the morning of curb installation. Parking will be allowed on the street overnight, but cars SHOULD NOT BE ON INDIAN ROAD BETWEEN 7 AM AND 5 PM. Thanks for the cooperation!

The contractor is also making the final watermain connections today, completing all utility underground work!
