The contractor is continuing sanitary sewer installation. The pavement north of Beverly and on Beverly west of the intersection is scheduled to be removed next week. The sanitary installation will then continue on that block. All water services have been completed and every house is now on the new water main with a 1.5” copper service from the main to the b-box.

Sanitary Sewer

Sanitary sewer replacement was started this week. The entire main line gets replaced as well as each service. Every residence has a sanitary sewer service from the house to the sanitary main. This connects the toilets, showers, sinks, dishwasher, etc. (basically any drain in your house) to the sanitary. The new service is laid from the main to the right-of-way line, where a clean-out is installed.

Pavement Removal on Monday

The contractor is making the final water main connection today to the existing water main on Glenview Road. The pavement from Glenview to Beverly will be removed on Monday morning. PLEASE REMEMBER: NO PARKING ON INDIAN STARTING MONDAY MORNING AT 7 AM. The existing water main (which can now be shut off since all homes’ services are on the new water main) is going to be abandoned by filling it with a flowable concrete mixture.

Sanitary Sewer repair work is scheduled to begin on Tuesday.

Pavement Removal TENTATIVELY set for Friday

The contractor plans to complete water services today and make the connection to the existing water main on Glenview Road tomorrow. There is rain in the forecast, so that is why this is only a tentative schedule. If all goes well tomorrow (Thursday), then the pavement removal on Indian from Glenview to Beverly will begin Friday morning.

Water Serivces and Pavement Removal

Water service installations are on-going and will probably continue through late next week (this rain isn’t helping out of course…). The contractor is scheduled to start removing the pavement mid- to late week. They will remove the pavement only from Glenview to Beverly next week. They will do all of the sanitary work on that block before removing the pavement north of there. Since the road is so old, the subbase (what’s under the road) may not be very drive-able. So our plans call for a temporary gravel road to be placed once the existing concrete is removed. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT NO VEHICLES BE PARKED ON THE STREET IN THIS BLOCK BETWEEN 7 AM AND 5 PM DAILY. The schedule is to start on Wednesday, so we ask residents to think about their parking on Tuesday evening.
