Sidewalk removals were completed this week and next week the concrete sidewalks will be replaced. Sewer structures are being raised to final grade in the roadway. The contractor is anticipating starting landscape repairs the week after Labor Day. Residents are reminded that their sprinkler systems should be reinstalled before the sod is placed.

The binder level of asphalt is complete, as well as all the driveways. Sidewalk removal and replacement will take place next week. The landscaper should be coming in soon to grade and shape behind the new curbs. Sod will not be placed until after September 1st,, as it is just too hot right now!! After the sod gets placed, the surface will be installed. Residents are reminded to start reinstalling sprinkler systems, pet fence wiring and brick amenities before the sod is completed.

The binder level of asphalt will be completed today! Binder is the bottom level of asphalt. The surface level, which is 1.5” thick will be the very last thing done before project completion, so that no construction traffic drives on our new road. The contractor will be onsite next week removing and replacing some deteriorated squares of sidewalk.

The east side curb was poured Thursday and driveways were completed Friday. Just like on the west side, the concrete will need 72-hours to cure. Once the driveways can be driven on, the contractor will remove the barricades and place temporary stone ramps.

East Side Curb Installation

Due to the rain yesterday, the curb installation on the east side was pushed back a day. It was originally scheduled for today, but now it will be poured tomorrow (if the rain cooperates with us!). The schedule then will be to pour the driveways on Monday. With the 72-hour cure period needed for concrete, the driveways should be reopened Thursday afternoon, all weather dependent of course.
